LONE WORKING
It takes an army of people working together to keep the church functioning and looking lovely. PCC appreciate all of you who contribute to that. But we have a responsibility to keep you safe, so have recently agreed a Lone Working Policy. We have a list of people who we think sometime work alone in the Priory and hopefully Ceri has contacted you all. There are bound to be some we missed, so please speak to Ceri Hibbert (ceri.hibbert@icloud.com) if you haven’t been contacted.
STEWARDING
Could you give an afternoon to steward the Priory over the summer? We’re hoping to have 2 people in the Priory to welcome visitors from 2-4pm every day from Saturday 25th July through to Sunday 30thAugust. A sign up list is at the back of church during services, or email Ceri Hibbert (ceri.hibbert@icloud.com).
DOOR STEWARDS NEEDED for HOLIDAY CLUB MONDAY 20th - FRIDAY 24th JULY
Can you help? We are also looking for door stewards to help during our annual Holiday Club week. For child protection reasons, visitors are not permitted to wander round the church during the hours of Holiday Club, and so it is important for visitors to see a friendly face and have a chat, even if we are turning them away! If you could volunteer to do this task from 9.45am -12.15pm on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Friday, please let Anna know. We also need volunteers to help with our Sports Day on Thursday afternoon (23rd) 12.45 - 2.15pm. No previous experience needed, just a willing pair of hands to assist smooth running of each game. It is great fun and a joy to watch the children have fun. Please contact Anna on 07766 004673 (or annaquelch1@gmail.com) if you can help.
A HUGE thank you to everyone who supported the Fete last week.
AND A THANK YOU has been received for Diane and Jenny who organise the Deanery library and bring a selection of books into the Priory each month. There is a new selection available to borrow this week. Please do have a look.
Another thank you has been received about the warm welcome given to visitors to the Priory!
VACANCY:
Leominster Branch of Mothers' Union require a new branch leader. This role involves chairing the (very supportive) committee which meets twice a year to plan activities and ensure compliance with financial and safeguarding regulations. As branch leader you will also host meetings and coordinate advertising. There is an element of pastoral care towards members and the wider community. The branch leader is also a link between the local branch and the Diocesan Board of Trustees. This is a voluntary role and takes up approximately one day per month. Please see Linda McKinley for more information.
3 SAINTS FELLOWSHIP
You may have noticed the lovely banners by Ceri dedicated to Dubricius, Edfrith and Milburga, the founding fathers and mother of the Diocese. Several of you have joined the first meetings of the brand new diocesan 3 Saints Fellowship designed to support and inspire us in our faith. We are meeting in person at the Forbury 3-4.30pm this Thursday 16 July, led by Fr Andrew. These will recap the previous zoom session & teaching in the Growing in Christ course and give us a space in which to share responses and encourage one another. Please feel free to come along to find out more, without obligation - even if you haven't been before. We were about 12 last time. You can get the material by a quick email to 3SF@hereford.anglican.org
SAFEGUARDING TRAINING
Ceri Hibbert is providing Foundation Level training on the 2nd Saturday of each month (excluding August & December) from 10am-12:30pm at the Forbury for anyone who wants or needs a better understanding of how we can keep everyone safe.
