TEAM COFFEE MORNINGS
Every Friday at the Forbury Chapel, 10.00am—12noon.
Please come along, meet old friends, make new friends, help raise funds for our churches and local charities. Only £1.70 for a tea or coffee! This Friday, 16 October is Monkland Parish. Please come along to support them. Contact the team receptionist, on 01568612124, Monday to Friday 9.30am –1.00pm if you would like to host a coffee morning. There are some dates available.
TEAMS4U – SHOE BOX APPEAL
The Priory family have always been very generous in supporting this appeal, and last November we filled 120 boxes which were sent to Ukraine. I do hope that once again we can continue to show love to disadvantaged children overseas.
Donations of medium size (12”x8”) empty shoeboxes, toiletries (toothpaste, face cloths, soap) toys (cars, lego, yoyo, small balls) clothing (gloves) small packs of sweets/chocolate or monetary donations to cover the shipping costs of £3 per box would be most welcome. These can be left at the Forbury Chapel.

We are pleased to confirm that we are holding a Cheese Platter and Pudding Night in the Forbury at 19-00 hrs on Friday 30th October. There will be a bar, quiz and a raffle and any surplus monies generated will help fund future projects undertaken by the Friends.

'THE BAYEUX TAPESTRY AND STITCHED STORIES OF LEOMINSTER TOWN TRAIL AND EVENTS'

In partnership with the British Museum, Priory Arts is collaborating with six venues in Leominster to present an exhibition and town trail about the Bayeux Tapestry and Stitched Stories of Leominster created by local artists. THREADS THROUGH THE BIBLE, a stunning exhibition by Jacqui Parkinson, will be coming to Leominster Priory from May 7th to June 27th 2027.
We need to have 2 stewards on duty for each morning or afternoon session. There are already volunteers interested in this - many from outside organisations. Some of our congregation are also signed up but we need more volunteers please. You would need to be willing to do 4 sessions over the 7 weeks.
(Jacqui Parkinson who created the panels will also be holding a special training session for stewards on 6th May from 1.30 to 3pm.)
The rota will not be put together until February when people know more about their plans for the year.

PRIORY CHURCH “100 CLUB” (2026/2027) DRAW-RENEWAL TIME!
The present cycle of monthly 100 Club Draws will finish at the end of October. The new annual cycle will start on November 1 st 2026.
Many of you already pay by standing order, which makes the renewal process so much easier. However if you do not, then, you can pay by BACS, making it clear
what the payment is for, or please let Anna or I have your cheque or cash by the end of October-thanks. Please note Anna and I will be away until October 22 nd , but you can leave it at the Forbury in Anna’s File, (in an envelope please with your name on the outside and what it is payment for).
We may have a few numbers available if anybody would like to join us, or buy an additional number. It costs £12 per year, per number, and we hold monthly draws with three prizes, of £25, £15 and £10 being made.

Leominster Food Bank is an independent charity, funded mainly by donations from individuals. Since the start of 2025 we have given out over 2500 food parcels of which 1000 were for children. Our food costs keep rising and we rely on donations of food and money to be able to continue to support local people.
We would be extremely grateful if you can collect food and other essentials for us this Harvest. Our most needed items are tinned meat, tinned fish and tinned vegetables, tinned fruit, long-life milk, coffee, sanitary products, washing powder and cooking oil. We are also very pleased to receive good quality strong carrier bags. If you are bringing a food collection from an organisation, please contact us to arrange bringing it straight to Leominster Food Bank. leominsterfoodbank@gmail.com or 07715 410575. Donations from individuals can be taken to our donation points in Leominster at Co-op, Aldi and Morrisons. Individuals can download the free app www.bankthefood.org to keep up to date with what is most needed.
