The Friends of Leominster Priory

The Friends of The Priory, as the name implies, is a group of individuals whose annual subscriptions and donations play a vital role in enabling many of the repairs and renewals that the congregation could not afford on its own.

The Friends are not connected with the church services conducted within the buildings, nor with Anglican Church policy. The main object is to assist in the restoration, repair and beautification of the Priory.

Founded in 1945, The Friends have been very generous over the years.  In the last few years we have financed many of the window grilles protecting the ancient stained glass from vandalism, and the supply of thirty new chairs for the Lady Chapel (see right).

The Friends of Leominster Priory have contributed towards extending the storage area in the Norman nave.  They have paid for a much needed baby-changing facility in the toilets, and bought new cupboards for the flower arrangers who were struggling with old, very unfit for purpose cupboards.  One of the most important and urgent projects paid for are new "crown staples" to prevent the nationally important bells from cracking.

If you would like to help maintain this fine building please become a Friend, which you can do by filling in this form.

The annual subscription is a minimum of £10.
