Sunday October 26th - St Edfrith's feast day.
We traditionally celebrate his founding of our Minster at Leominster with King Merewald by examining an aspect of the Priory's long and rich history in more depth.
The ducking stool has been housed in the Priory since 1875 and remains a considerable draw for visitors to the town.
This year we are delighted that Hilary Lyon, Heritage and Engagement Officer for the Priory Futures Project will give a reprise of an important talk given at the Priory's Heritage Open day on 21st September.
This will bring us up to date with recent discoveries about the town’s Ducking Stool, including Dendrodating, and also the results of a year of engagement and a discussion about how the Ducking Stool might be a positive and interesting object for the town in the future.
Place - Forbury Chapel, Church Street
Time - 6pm
